The Perfect Valentine’s Day Look

This year Valentine’s Day will be different form all other Valentine’s Day celebration. We are in the middle of a pandemic and with the Covid 19 restrictions and rules in place. We have to be creative and reimagine Valentine’s Day. Many us look forward to Valentine’s Day as a day we celebrate with our partners and spouses. We all look forward to that special day every year where we get spoiled by our partners and are showered with gifts and profess their love.

Well this year we will all just have to make do with the gifts and professes of love without the dinner date at our favorite restaurant. We will have to have our dinner date at home this year. A lot of people wear red because red is the color of love in many cultures. You don’t have to wear red if you don’t feel like. You can wear other colors too. Colors have different meaning so as you try to decide what you are going to wear this Valentine ‘s Day consider other colors too. Colors mean different things to different people so choose whichever color you choose enjoy your Valentine’s Day knowing that the most important thing is that you are with your loved ones on that day.

Below are some colors and their significance. So enjoy your Valentine’s Day regardless of which color you choose to wear.

The Meaning of the Colors

Before we give any tips about make-up, we think that you should know what to wear before-hand so you can think of what tip will be the best for your looks. Thus, here is a small list of the colors you may choose, and what people believe that they will attract for this year that comes ahead of us!

  • White is perfect to attract peace for your life
  • Silver attracts modernism and evolution
  • Red will give you a romantic year
  • Pink is for those who wish for success
  • Brown is for those who need stability above everything
  • Gold is for some gold coins
  • Green will bring you harmony
  • Yellow is for prosperity
  • Blue is for greater connections with people
  • Orange brings happiness above all

Now that you know what every color means, choose one and let’s start with the ideas!

A Monochromatic Look

People might not think of wearing only one color for everything would be nice, but it can call a lot of attention, and make a legendary look that will not be forgotten – if done right. Whatever color you choose, make your eye shadow the same, but use a gradient of the same color. But beware: only use it in your eye. Getting a green eye shadow and a green lipstick could go terribly wrong. The ideal is to maintain the same colors on specific parts of your make-up, and not the whole thing! You may use the Beauty Glazed palettes, as they have incredible gradient palettes!

Nature Colors, Ground Shades

If you go for colors that resemble nature, such as a dark green, a light yellow, or even a good shade of brown, go for ground shades on your beautiful face. Try using the Too Faced nude palettes, as they have incredible shades. Make a smoky eye with a good brown gradient, and use nude lips if you may! This may be simple, but it will call a lot of attention, and will turn out to be a nice classic setting! This can also go well with clothing that has a “natural” print to it.

Go Dark, Be Intense

If you are a daring person, whatever color you choose, you may go for a dark look! It can for sure bring you the intensity you look for, making people look at you and think of someone courageous, mysterious and powerful above everything else. Choose a strong color, such as red, brown or black, and smoky your eye up with it. I personally like the ones of Maybelline. However, make sure the make-up you use is professional. Intense eyes like this can deeply go wrong if you do not prepare your skin, and the eye shadows you choose are not good enough to reach the smoky effect.

Valentine’s Day Requires Shimmer

Valentine is an amazing time for glitter and brightness! So, if you choose a color that allows it, such as red, gold, silver or even black, don’t be scared of using shimmer on your face. Allow yourself to try and make your face a bright canvas that will call the attention of your friends and family. There are many types of shimmer you can use, such as highlighters, eco-friendly glitter, or gold and silver pigments. I truly like the ones of NARS or NYX for these looks.

Simple but Amazing

If nothing here seems good for you, then maybe you want to go for a smoother approach. Bet on a well-done cat-eye, simple colors for your lipstick and a good foundation. It can go well with any color you choose, you won’t take too long in your make-up, and you will be as beautiful as you aim for!

Lastly the Red

Red is the color of love so if you decide to follow the norm and wear red make sure that you choose your accessories right. Red can complement most colors so you can pair it with, green, nude, white, black, or even purple. Use your make up sparingly because red is an intense and hot color. You make up should subdue the hotness of the red and not intensify it.  I love Mac Ruby Rose lipstick. Your eyeshade can be more neutral so that your hues don’t clash.

So stay indoors and if the pandemic restrictions allow  for going out , go out there and enjoy a reimagined Valentine’s Day.
