Uju Ukpeh

Founder/ Editor in Chief

Women Sphere hopes to offer women the world over a platform where they can share a sisterhood about everyday challenges, struggles, and successes.

One of five children, I lost my mom at age 9. Thrown into the jaws of life, I was forced to become a “mom” to my three younger siblings. Somehow, I made it through University with a graduate degree first in economics and management, then a post-graduate degree in Finance and Investments. I got blessed with two children of my own, and an incredibly kind and supportive husband. All along, I have been managing his physician practice. Now I have to do something in addition; the magazine!

I have traveled the world and really love discovering new places and cultures. I love unique styles and opera music. I believe in being kind to self by taking the time to be well-groomed and look good. I try to eat and live healthy and have founded HAYA health for life, a premium food supplement company designed to enhance and maintain health. I maintain a balance between work and life. I enjoy goofing around with my children and hanging out with my husband.

I am grateful to the Most High for my life. I wish to use it to enhance every young woman who wishes to be better.

Editor At Large

Professor Kyla Gutsche MSc, MSt ,(Oxon) DPhil
Medical Micropigmentation Specialist and Restorative Tattoo Artist

Kyla Gutsche of Cosmetic Transformations ( https://cosmetictransformations.com/portfolio/apprenticeship-academy-the-global-leader-in-tattoo-apprenticeship-and-training/ ) in Ontario, Canada, is one of the world’s leading providers of micro-pigmentation tattoos, including semi-permanent make-up, tattooed eyebrows and lashes, 3d-simulated areolas, scar revision, and skin camouflage tattooing.

As a former Oxford-educated scholar, University art professor, long-time volunteer, and cancer survivor, Kyla has a rare background that has led her to the global forefront of this field. After undergoing cancer treatment and experiencing the benefits of micro-pigmentation first-hand, Kyla began studying the leading tattoo techniques around the globe. She has combined these techniques with her own artistic talent and has performed life-enhancing procedures in London (England), Shibuya (Japan), the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and now, Peterborough—where she shares an office with renowned reconstructive and plastic surgeon, Dr. Reid Chambers (https://kawarthaplasticsurgery.ca)

With a background in chemistry and medical illustration, Kyla co-developed a tattoo dispersant and the Titian WashTMtechnique which more realistically recreates and enhances features than conventional permanent makeup or tattoo pigments. Kyla has attracted international clients, ranging from celebrities to young trauma survivors; and the majority of her clients are those who have survived cancer or are healing from it.

Fuelled by a desire to give back, Kyla created the Cosmetic Transformations Young Trauma Survivor Foundation and performs several procedures a week at no cost to trauma survivors, wounded warriors, and children with congenital defects:

Henrietta

Lifestyle Writer

My name is Henrietta, I’m a forty-something years old wife and mother of four, born in Nigeria, I lived in Chicago for more than half of my life and currently live in a small town called LaSallein Ontario, Canada. My professional life started out as being a registered nurse (for 20 years), but life’s responsibilities took me on a different path. A few years ago, I quit my job in the hospital and decided to work from home and help run my husband’s medical practices.

In my free time, I sit on a few charity boards in my community, I also support several charity organizations both locally and internationally. In 2019, I participated as a judge in the Miss Universe Canada Western Ontario pageant.

I’ll describe my style as being somewhat eclectic…with me, there’s no predicting depending on my mood, I can go from all dolled up girly to biker chick to my cozy comfy while rocking them all so well. I have a passion for beauty, fashion, wellness/fitness, travel, and cooking…Though a pescetarian, I can whip up tasty authentic cuisines from pretty much around the world. I’m a bit of a wanderlust and I’ve been fortunate to have explored and adapted to different cultures. I’m also a (self-proclaimed) wine connoisseur. I enjoy reading up on and trying beauty DIY tips since I’m very interested in all things antiaging.

I recently decided to start cycling (long-distance) and playing tennis… you can say I developed a deep love for both sports. I’m very family-oriented and love spending time with my husband and children.

I am looking forward to sharing my diverse world with you.
