What are protection crystals and do they really work?

There are many people who are talking about protection crystals now and this has become a very hot topic all over the internet. When you have this kind of topic, you will be seeing mixed opinions from people who are firm believers in new age wellness as well as those who do not believe in this type of practice.

Those who make use of crystals for protection believe that when they are used correctly, these crystals emit a specific type of energy that is very positive and calming. Not only that, but it is said that this type of crystal can have a very revitalizing type of energy that is very specific.

There are many different crystals and they all are said to have different effects on both the mind and the body of the person that wears them. According to those who support crystal protection and therapy, our bodies are electromagnetic and we have a large amount of energy in physical, spiritual, and mental forms.

Is there a placebo effect?

There are some people who believe that these crystals have no power at all, but they serve the purpose of activating the power of our own minds. This is why when we wear a crystal that is meant to calm us down, we are likely to experience a sense of calmness, or when we wear a crystal that is meant to help us deal with physical pain, we trigger pain-stopping receptors in our brain.

One of the most important things to understand is that no scientific evidence can back their efficiency to help people dealing with all kinds of medical issues. With that said, there is also no evidence that proves that the crystals do not work.

Perhaps one of the most attractive aspects of crystals is that they are similar to religious faith. When people firmly believe in their power, this is going to have a very positive effect on their lives.

It is often said that the only thing that truly matters in life is how we feel about something.  If we feel that the crystals do indeed help us feel better, and if we feel that a specific type of crystal can help get rid of stress, anxiety, chronic pain and a number of other issues, there is no reason not to support their use.

Perhaps detractors believe that this is some kind of way for people to try to sell those crystals at a higher price, but the truth is that many of the people that promote their use don’t even sell the crystals.

What are the most commonly used crystals and what do they do?

There are several crystals that have become every popular due to their healing properties and some of them are meant to help with very specific issues. We are going to list the most popular of the bunch so you can have a good idea of what they are about.

Amethyst

This particular crystal is said to be ideal for people who are looking to find help with their insomnia. It has a calming energy that is ideal for bedrooms. Most people who get this type of crystal want to improve their quality of sleep.

Clear Quartz

This is said to be the ultimate crystal to wear when you are trying to meditate and looking to channel more energy into your meditation. Most people who are being introduced to crystals are usually going to be given a clear quartz.

Citrine

This is said to be the ultimate mood boosting crystal and that makes it an excellent choice for people to wear. Those who feel down are often going experience a sense of happiness and calmness that relieves feelings of sadness.

Aquamarine

The ultimate crystal of choice for people who are looking for the best possible way to improve their creativity and to ensure that they are able to make the most out of any creative expression.

Green calcite

If you are feeling stuck, like you have reached a plateau, you will find that green calcite can help you get out of that situation and allow you to continue growing. Many people use this crystal to increase their mental awareness.

Kyanite

Those who seek to ramp up their intuitive abilities are going to find that Kyanite is the best way to stimulate this particular ability.

Tiger eye

This one is said to be the perfect athletic enhancer and you are usually going to see it worn by people who seek to get that extra boost in their physical performance.

Pink opal

This one should be worn by people who are easily angered or annoyed. If you feel that you have short fuse and you are constantly struggling not to get angry, this could be the crystal that helps you handle that negative energy.

Pyrite

Pyrite is said to be the greatest crystal to wear if you want to protect yourself from energy vampires and from people who are more likely to drain your energy than increase it. This is why this crystal is preferred by many people who work stressful jobs.

Selenite

If you want to cleanse yourself from any bad vibes that have accumulated through the day, selenite is going to be like an air purifier for those ugly negative vibes. Anyone who is having a bad day should have selenite close to them for optimal results.

Final thoughts

One of the main reasons why power crystals continue to grow in popularity is because of the positive reception of those who are using them. It has been well documented that they help people feel better, so it makes sense that more people are convinced of their power.

The most important thing about this is that it should not matter if they work due to a placebo effect as we mentioned earlier, or if they truly have healing powers. The truth remains to be uncovered, but the verdict at the moment is that they seem to be very helpful to people who need specific types of healing.
