In four different languages ‘AMOR’ means love. So, it is no wonder playa del amor is also known as ‘the love beach/ beach of love’. As the name implies, the beach just radiates love and is definitely perfect for whoever wants to be submerged in an atmosphere filled with love. Whether its love from yourself and your lover, a group of friends or even self-love, it is simply the quintessential fit.
It has to be in your ‘must go places’ list, for a vacation or link up spot with your friends, whatever reason it gets to be on that list, get it there and GO! It is so worth it.
For some of you that haven’t heard about it and are wondering “if it’s that great, why don’t I know about it or haven’t heard about it?” well, it is typically also referred to as ‘the hidden beach’ and is located in a hinged cave.
The beach is an attribute of one of the Marieta Islands, located at west of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, at the mouth of Banderas Bay near Cabo San Lucas. Although it looks and feels like a fairytale, the wonder of how this beach came to be is mind blowing. The Marieta islands is a group of uninhabited islands formed by underwater volcano eruptions which is one of which birthed the beach. The other is that the area was a ground for military weapon testing (bomb testing). So, we can call it a natural and man-made ironic wonder. Why? Because these two unpleasant things birthed something so beautiful and pleasant.
YOU SHOULD KNOW
The best time to visit is from November to March, because from May to October there are often heavy rains and sometimes even tornadoes along Mexico’s coasts. But you should also know that it becomes a bit pricy because of the short season. Also, reservations are to be made before going because of the limited amount of people allowed to visit there per day.
Since everything about the beach screams relaxation, fun, masking in nature and floatingthrough its natural course, love and everything love, it is prohibited to fish and hunt in the beach and violation of this prohibition attract a considerable fine. Personally, it is so absurd that anyone would want to go fishing and hunting in a place like that when it is MEXICO’S BEACH OF LOVE.
